Edie Inc. is a
locally owned manufacturer and distributor of brick dust for
baseball diamonds and brick chips for landscaping. For years we had
purchased the scrap brick from the local brick plant here in Hanover
and mostly dumped them on oil well roads. I always thought they
would look nice for landscaping, so eventually I purchased a
crusher, screens and conveyors to manufacturer the chips and the
dust. I finally got the perfect size for our biggest seller "Red
Diamond Dust" The dust, which contains no slivers to get hurt on,
never fades and washes out of baseball uniforms. If you use the
chips for landscaping, they don't blow away like mulch and they
never fade so you never need to replace it every year. The red
diamond dust acts as a filler, it dries quicker than sand and you
can resume play on it even after a heavy rain.
So games in wet weather are increase and your season can end on
time. Some of our customers have said they have gone an entire
season without any rainouts or cancellations. Some of our competitors
say the brick dust breaks down but there is nothing to break down
because they are fired at 2000 degrees therefore that is why they
absorb water so well. The appearance speaks for itself. Our "Red
Diamond Dust" is a very highly used product by schools all over the
state of Ohio and by some outside of Ohio
